Have You Every Heard This Stuff Before?
I run into these conversations almost daily.Where do people get off on begging and suggesting that we lower our prices or throw something in for free.How about-your in that corner anyway,why not trow in another outlet for free to make me a happy person today.
I used to do a lot of dentist offices and they were the worst.So when one dentist wanted the free outlet cause it was right there, I replied-when you fill that cavity in front just do the tooth next to it-you are right there anyway.He got the point ant I got my extra $75 bucks for the outlet!!
Or maybe your doing a bid and all you get is-I only have $5k in the budget,can you lower it a bit just in case I want to add something later.I WANT TO SCREAM SOMETIMES.WTF??
One day it happened to me before I started the job or bought any materials.I looked a the lady and shook my head,walked away and didn’t look back.
I am sick of people trying to beat me up this way.I would rather cut off my nuts than give anything away for free.
Anybody else want to share?

Dear Sparky,
Here’s what you tell those who ask for free bonus’, apologize and tell them that the supplier does not give you the parts for free, but if they want to book you for an extra HOUR or whatever, you’ll throw in a 3-4 dollar (definitely less than $10) contact device or switch. Or tell’em you’d be happy to create the impression of something for free. Or even better, say you’ll have to charge $80 for a duplex receptacle, but the install is free(as long as said install takes less than the value of your time.) LOL
